"Live the adventure"

Throughout this course we explored diversity and equity in our classrooms. The final project (Theory in Practice) gave us an opportunity to select an area of inequity in our classrooms and address it through a new practice. My equity moment, The Monster's Lair, addresses the topic of stigmas on space in a school. The process is far from finished, but understanding the students' perspective around space, offices, and classrooms has given me insight into how I can transform space to be positive, welcoming, and sound for the students at my school site.
